VEXTRA® (GLV) Cloth

VEXTRA® is a noncombustible vermiculite-coated fiberglass, which offers 50% more protection from direct heat than standard fiberglass. The vermiculite coating creates an armor against direct heat as it travels across the fabric not through it. Vextra fabrics remain stable to 816°C and offer continuous protection to 540°C, with the vermiculite coating adding abrasion resistance. Vextra Textiles are suitable for welding protection, curtains, expansion joints, and removable exhaust and valve covers.
