AMI-SIL® (AS) Cloth

AMI-SIL® is the ultimate, ceramic free high temperature protection fabric with a minimum 96% amorphous silica content. Ami-Sil fabrics offer continuous protection to 980°C and have a melting point in excess of 1650°C. AS silica is used for welding and cutting protection, molten metal splash protection, heat and flame shielding, stress relief, insulation and fire blankets. AMI-SIL fabrics are flexible, chemical resistant and have low thermal conductivity. The AS silica meets military specification MI-C-24576
